About us

The team behind Osprean

Osprean was founded in the summer of 2022, after the major wildfires in the Sierra de la Culebra (Zamora, Spain), which showed just how vulnerable a territory can become when coordination fails. That experience led to the conviction that technology can strengthen prevention, decision-making and the coordination of people working on the ground.

The machine solves what is complex. What matters is always decided by a person.

Mission

Osprean is backed by the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI) through the NEOTEC programme of the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, an award granted to technology projects with high innovation potential. It is also funded by ENISA (National Innovation Company) through its line for Young Entrepreneurs. The team also collaborates with WTREX, the international wildland fire training exchange network, through its Spanish edition, Quijote.
